The World Para Athletics Grand Prix series returns in 2021 with eight events scheduled to take place around the world from February to May, ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Dubai 2021 Grand Prix - Fazza International Championships
Dubai, UAE; 10 – 13 February 2021

The season kicks off in Dubai in the same stadium that hosted the 2019 World Championships. The event, as the rest of the Grand Prix season, was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19. This is the fourth consecutive time that the Fazza International Championships will open the Grand Prix series

Tunis 2021 Grand Prix - 13th Tunis International Meeting
Tunis, Tunisia; 18 - 20 March 2021

The Grand Prix travels from the Middle East to Africa in March for the 13th edition of the most traditional Para athletics event in the continent, the Tunis International Meeting.

Sao Paulo 2021 Grand Prix - Loterias Caixa Open Championships
Sao Paulo, Brazil; 25 – 27 March 2021

The biggest city in South America hosts the eight edition of the Loterias Caixa Open Championships, the seventh time it is part of the Grand Prix calendar. Since 2017, the Sao Paulo GP takes place at Brazil's Paralympic Training Centre, a legacy of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Italy 2021 Grand Prix - Italian Open Championships
City TBC; 16 – 18 April 2021

Italy once again joins the World Para Athletics Grand Prix season in April with the host city yet to be confirmed.


Beijing 2021 Grand Prix - The 8th China Open Athletics Championships
Beijing, China; 23 – 25 April 2021

The eight edition of the China Open will take place in April plenty of stars from the country that topped the medals table at the Rio 2016 Paralympics and the Dubai 2019 World Championships.

Paris 2021 Grand Prix - Handisport Open Paris
Paris, France; 05 – 07 May 2021

The home of the 2024 Paralympic Games will stage the Grand Prix for the fourth time and is no stranger to top performances and world records. There is certainly more to come this year.

Nottwil 2021 Grand Prix - ParAthletics
Nottwil, Switzerland; 14 – 16 May 2021

Famous for the fastest track in wheelchair racing, the Swiss city attracts not only the best racers but also some of the most successful throwers in the circuit every year.
